Better Install
Wood Rot Free

An integral step in any window installation is the removal of all structural rot.  Our process is more extensive than a pocket or insert replacement window installation, which can suffer from seal failures and degradation.  It allows for the exposure, assessment, then removal of all areas in need of replacing.  Not repairing, replacing.  This brings the window to a higher level of quality, performance, and longevity, as well as offering a more aesthetically pleasing exterior and interior.  All quality brands are available for us to install.  We'll do the leg work of measuring, tailoring specs to what you're looking for and get quotes.  You pay direct to the distributor.  We are solely the installer.

There are three key factors when it comes to replacing windows.

Three Key Factors

01

Nailing Flange

frame-options_edited_edited.jpg

Full Frame windows are designed with a nailing flange that is part of the window itself, allowing it to be the exact size as the old window and installed directly to the framing.  Pocket/ Insert windows lack this feature leaving gaps and shrinking the original window size.

Installation

Full Frame windows are installed to the exterior face of the facade.  All interior and exterior trim needs to be removed then replaced with new material in order to do so.  Pocket/ Insert windows are installed from the interior with extensions and capping added in order to cover up the gaps left behind any deteriorated framing.

Wood Rot

Wood Rot is a fungus.  It attacks the structural lumber and breaks it down, giving it a white, yellow, or black appearance.  Once it has drawn out all moisture, it moves on, leaving behind crumbled bits of wood.

When the fungi takes hold, there's no point in repairs, the fungi will return and you'll have the same problem all over again.

The only way to eliminate it, is to replace all infected material with new.

Any lumber we use is kiln dried.  All sheathing, siding, and trim is treated with Zinc Borate preventing any further growth.

-We had Eric come look at some water damage on our home.  They discovered wood rot that other contractors hadn't pointed out.  They were courteous, on time, and cleaned up everyday.

-We had just installed eight new windows by one of the larger window companies in the KC area, when one started to leak after a bad storm.  A friend recommended that we should have these guys come and take a look.  Ended up having to take out then reinstall all of them.  Will use them when we are ready to do the rest of the house.
